Your money is safe
until delivery.

With Cheaply Buyer Protection, the seller is only paid after you confirm your order arrived in the right condition. Payments are processed by our licensed partners, Paystack and Flutterwave.

For buyers

  • Your payment is collected only when a deal reaches its MOQ and locks.
  • The seller is not paid at checkout. Their payout is scheduled only after you confirm delivery.
  • After delivery, you have 7 days to confirm receipt or raise a dispute.
  • If you don't respond within 7 days, funds are automatically released to the seller.
  • If your item doesn't arrive or doesn't match the description, raise a dispute in your dashboard and our team will investigate within 72 hours.

For sellers

  • Seller payouts are released after all buyers confirm delivery, or after the auto-release window closes.
  • Withdrawal to any Nigerian bank account is processed within 1-2 business days. The current withdrawal fee is shown before confirmation.
  • All sellers must complete KYC verification prior to their first withdrawal in order to receive payouts.
  • If a deal fails to reach MOQ by the deadline, the deal is cancelled and all buyers are automatically refunded.
  • A seller's payout for a disputed order is paused until our team resolves it. Sellers with repeated disputes may face account suspension.

How buyer protection works

Deal closes (MOQ reached)

Your payment is processed by our licensed partner. The seller is not paid yet; their payout is scheduled after delivery is confirmed. The order is sent to the seller dashboard.

Seller ships

Seller uploads tracking information. cheaply notifies all buyers.

Buyer confirms delivery

Each buyer has 7 days to confirm receipt or raise a dispute. On confirmation, or when the window closes, their portion of the payout is released to the seller.

Seller receives payment

Total funds (minus cheaply's platform fee) land in seller's cheaply wallet, ready to withdraw.
