About Cheaply

Cheaply is a marketplace facilitator, not a seller. Cheaply provides the technology platform that connects buyers and sellers for group buying transactions. Cheaply does not own, store, ship, or take responsibility for any physical or digital goods listed by sellers on the platform.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Cheaply. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Cheaply reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to belong to minors.

The Cheaply Wallet

The Cheaply Wallet is a transactional ledger that records a user's balance and processes payouts and refunds within the platform. Payments are processed by licensed payment providers (Paystack and Flutterwave). Cheaply is not a bank and does not operate an escrow service. The wallet is not a stored-value account, savings account, or investment vehicle, and balances do not earn interest.

Group Buying and Automatic Order Execution

By joining a deal, the user explicitly consents to automatic order execution when the final price tier is reached. Once a deal reaches its final price tier, all active commitments are converted to paid orders without further confirmation being required from the buyer.

If the deal price changes before execution, all existing commitments are reset and users are required to reconfirm their participation at the new price before the deal proceeds.

Seller Obligations

Sellers must dispatch orders within 72 hours of a deal being closed for domestic shipments. Failure to dispatch within this window entitles buyers to cancel and receive a full refund. Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their deal listings, pricing, product descriptions, and images.

International Procurement & Shipping

For Physical Product Deals originating outside Nigeria (such as China or other international dispatch locations):

• Procurement & Shipping Fees: The displayed procurement and international shipping fee at checkout covers transit from the origin country to Cheaply's central receiving facility in Lagos, Nigeria.
• Delivery Timelines: International shipments operate on extended fulfillment windows (typically 14–30 days depending on product category and shipping method). Delivery delay disputes cannot be opened until the configured international window has elapsed.
• Customs & Import Duties: Cheaply Logistics Partners handle standard import customs clearance for partner procurement. For custom seller shipping, the seller is responsible for ensuring compliant clearance into Nigeria.
• Final Local Delivery: Once the shipment arrives at Cheaply's Lagos hub, the Cheaply team contacts the buyer via email and/or WhatsApp to coordinate local delivery to their final destination address. Final local delivery charges, if applicable, are communicated prior to local dispatch.

Payments and Buyer Protection

Buyer payments are processed by our licensed payment partners. A seller is only paid after the buyer confirms receipt or after the buyer protection window has expired without a dispute being raised. Cheaply's Deal Facilitation Fee is added to the buyer's total at checkout, so sellers are paid their full listed price with nothing deducted from the payout. The current fee rate is calculated automatically and shown to the seller on the create-deal form before publishing, and again on the deal detail page.

Withdrawal fees are disclosed at the time of withdrawal. Current rates are shown on the withdrawal page before any transaction is confirmed.

Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension:

• Fraudulent listings, misleading product descriptions, or fake images.
• Price manipulation, bid manipulation, or coordinated fake demand.
• Fake reviews, review manipulation, or paying others for reviews.
• Initiating chargebacks or bank disputes without first raising a valid dispute on the platform.
• Using the platform for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Cheaply platform, including logos, design elements, and software, is the property of Cheaply Tech Limited. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Cheaply's total liability to any user for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount of the transaction in dispute. Cheaply is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. All disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

Changes to These Terms

Cheaply reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
