Promotion Pool Terms
Last updated: June 2026
These Promotion Pool Terms apply whenever you join a Promotion Pool campaign on Cheaply, either as a creator running the campaign or as a participant buying a slot. They are supplemental to the platform-wide Terms of Service and apply in addition, not in place of, those terms.
1. What a Promotion Pool is
A Promotion Pool is a joint advertising buy. A creator publishes a pool with a stated ad budget, a creator fee, a platform fee, and one or more pricing tiers. Each tier defines how many slots must be filled before the corresponding per-slot price unlocks. Participants apply for slots; once approved and paid, their content is included in the campaign batch the creator delivers.
2. Slot application and approval
Submitting a slot does not place an order. Every slot, regardless of whether it points to one of your deals, your storefront, or an external URL, must pass:
- An admin review, only for external-URL slots, to confirm the content complies with platform rules.
- An explicit creator review for every slot type. The creator may reject a slot with a reason if they decide it does not suit their campaign.
You are not charged anything during the application or review window. If your slot is rejected, you have 48 hours to address the reason and resubmit.
3. The order step
When every slot in your application is approved, you receive a notification that your order is ready. You open the order page, read these terms, tick an explicit acceptance, and only then is your wallet debited and the slot reserved. No charge is made before you click Place Order on the order page.
4. Final-tier pricing, up-front charge
You are charged against the final-tier price up front. This is the price you would pay if the pool reaches its best tier. The campaign stays open until the pool reaches that tier, and your slot is reserved at that price the moment your order is placed.
Cheaply does not run retroactive refunds when other participants join, drop, or are rejected later. The final-tier price is the floor of what you have paid, and the contract you have entered into.
5. Order Now and top-up
A creator may, at their sole discretion, close the campaign early using the Order Now control. When this happens, the deal closes at whatever tier is currently qualified by the committed slots. If that resolved tier is more expensive per slot than the final-tier price you initially paid against, you authorise Cheaply to debit the per-slot difference from your wallet, capped at your number of paid slots, as the campaign closes.
If your wallet does not cover the top-up at the moment Order Now is fired, the creator is told you are short and the campaign is held until you top up or the creator chooses to wait or close without your slot. We do not silently refund or remove you for being short.
6. Mid-campaign pricing or tier edits, reconfirmation
If the creator edits pricing or the tier ladder while the campaign is live, every committed participant exits and is fully refunded to their wallet immediately. You are notified and must reconfirm and reorder at the new price before the campaign continues. You never pay against a price you did not see.
7. Landing page, batches and shareable URLs
Each batch in a campaign has its own stable visitor URL of the form /promo/<creator>/<campaign>/b/<batch-code>. The creator may paste this URL into paid ads. Visitors that reach this URL see only the slots committed in that batch, even after the batch closes, so your paid ad placement continues pointing at the slot set the ad was created for.
If the campaign uses a dedicated landing layout, every approved participant additionally gets a standalone URL of the form /promo/<creator>/<campaign>/p/<your-slug>. You control the slug, the subtitle, and which page elements are visible from your slot edit page.
8. Tracking pixels
Only the creator can install tracking pixels on a pool landing. Cheaply accepts inline pixel snippets from a named allow-list of platforms (Meta, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, X). The platforms a pool actually fires pixels for are cross-checked against the supported-platforms list the creator declared at create time. Participants never load arbitrary external scripts.
9. Refunds, disputes, and fulfilment
The platform's general buyer protection and dispute rules in the Terms of Service and the Buyer Protection page govern fulfilment failures. A dispute opened within 72 hours of a batch executing is reviewed by Cheaply staff. Successful disputes are refunded to your wallet.
10. Suspension and termination
Cheaply may suspend or terminate access to Promotion Pools for accounts that submit fraudulent slot content, attempt to game tier mechanics, or otherwise breach the Terms of Service. Funds reserved at the time of suspension are returned to the wallet of the affected party.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the Promotion Pool product evolves. Material changes are announced in-platform and via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Promotion Pools after the change date constitutes acceptance.
