Campaign completion, proof, and disputes
A pool does not close just because the creator says so. Completion requires evidence appropriate to the channels used.
Proof of delivery
When the campaign window ends, the creator uploads evidence to mark the pool complete. The level of evidence depends on the channel: paid platforms typically require ad spend and reach reports, influencer placements typically require links and supporting media, and offline channels typically require dated photographs and receipts.
Proof is reviewed before participants can be charged the marketplace fee and before the creator can withdraw their fee.
Disputes
A participant can open a dispute if:
- The campaign never ran on the channels promised
- The evidence appears falsified
- The promised promotion was not delivered (e.g. influencer never posted)
- They suspect fraud
Disputes go to our team. Both sides are asked for their side. We review the evidence and, where the participant's case is upheld, refund the slot cost.
Why this matters
Promotion Pool only works if participants can trust that their money funds real promotion. Mandatory proof of delivery and an active dispute process are how Cheaply maintains that trust.
