How a Promotion Pool runs end to end
From start to finish, a Promotion Pool has six phases.
1. The creator sets it up
The creator publishes a pool with:
- Campaign name, description, target audience
- Channel mix (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, YouTube, X, influencer, offline, etc.)
- Total ad budget
- Their creator fee (flat or percentage)
- Total number of slots
- Landing page title, subtitle, description
The Cheaply platform fee is added automatically. The per-slot price is the total of those three components divided by the slot count, and is shown clearly.
2. Participants discover the pool
The pool appears in the feed like any other deal. Participants see the full cost breakdown before deciding.
3. Participants apply for slots
A participant picks how many slots to buy and what each slot will point to: a Cheaply deal, their storefront, or an external URL. External URLs require approval before payment.
4. Review and payment
Each slot is reviewed for safety and quality. Only approved slots can be paid for. Once paid, the slot goes live on the landing page.
5. The campaign runs
The creator activates the channels they committed to. The landing page is live for visitors. The order of slots rotates between visitors so no single participant gets a permanent top position.
6. Completion
When the campaign window closes, the creator submits evidence of delivery (proof appropriate to each channel) and participants get analytics for their slots. Disputes can be opened if something went wrong.
