Shipping templates
A shipping template is a saved set of delivery rules: who pays, what areas you ship to, fees by zone, and the carrier you prefer. Templates are reused across deals so you do not retype the same details every time.
Building a template
From Shipping templates in your seller settings, tap New template. Fill in:
- Template name (your own reference, e.g. Standard Lagos)
- Who pays: seller-paid (shipping included in the deal price) or buyer-paid (added at checkout)
- Zones: cities, regions, or anywhere in Nigeria
- Fee per zone: flat amounts work best for predictability
- Estimated arrival: e.g. 2-5 business days for Lagos, 5-10 for outside Lagos
- Carrier preference: optional, helps you batch dispatches later
Reusing across deals
When you create a deal you pick a template from a dropdown. You can edit the template later and the changes apply to new deals only. Live deals keep the template they were created with.
When to make multiple templates
If your product range varies in weight or fragility, make one template per shipping profile. e.g. Light parcel Lagos, Heavy parcel nationwide.
