Community standards

Cheaply works because most users treat each other well. Our community standards keep it that way.

Listings

• Items and services must be legal in Nigeria.
• Descriptions must match what is delivered.
• Photos must be of the actual item or a representative stock image (clearly labelled).
• Prohibited categories include: weapons, illegal drugs, counterfeit goods, items obtained through theft, and anything explicitly banned by law or by the platform's terms of service.

Behaviour

• Be respectful in messages. No harassment, threats, hate speech, or personal attacks.
• Do not solicit users to move off-platform. Off-platform deals lose buyer protection.
• Do not impersonate other users, businesses, or Cheaply staff.
• Do not manipulate reviews, ratings, or join counts.

Money

• Do not attempt fraud, chargebacks, or money laundering.
• Do not run schemes that promise unrealistic returns to other users.

Enforcement

Minor issues get a warning. Repeated or serious issues result in restricted account, removed listings, or permanent ban. Permanent bans extend to attempts to re-register under new names.
